During my tenure producing for WNET between 2007 and 2012, I produced content and managed the following sites for PBS.org, as well as providing content production for limited time initiatives like the 2011 PBS Fall Arts online initiative. While I cannot guarantee my work from that time period has remained intact, I have listed distinguishing features for each site and a link to the current iteration, or archived version, of the series site.  

American Masters

  • Relaunched to transform digital property from a basic press release and broadcast information site to a content destination for cultural documentary
  • Created behind-the-scenes and outtake short videos
  • Commissioned short essays and QA features from subjects and film makers makers
  • Released full documentaries for audiences to stream for free within rights windowing periods
  • Emmy credit for excellence in non-fiction and documentary

Worse than War

  • Includes full streaming film documenting the history of genocide
  • Content partnership with Human Rights Campaign to provide additional materials
  • Edited and published excerpts from the book that formed the basis of the program

Great Performances

  • Relaunched to transform digital property from a basic press release and broadcast information site to a content destination for cultural documentary
  • Created behind-the-scenes and outtake short videos
  • Offered MP3 downloads and audio streaming cleared with music publishers when rights allowed
  • Released full program for audiences to stream for free within rights windowing periods
  • Produced lesson plans and online educational materials for the series' award winning Shakespeare programs alongside full streaming releases for the programs
 

The Music Instinct

  • Edited clips from program where rights allowed to stream highlights from the documentary
  • Produced three lesson plans with interactive elements for educators to use the documentary in the classroom
  • User generated remix competition in partnership with Indaba Music to create a theme for the series

Secrets of the Dead

  • Relaunched to transform digital property from a basic press release and broadcast information site to a content destination for cultural documentary
  • Created and released episodic content packages with behind the scenes interviews, photo stories, and original essays
  • Released full hour-long programs

  • Created a full half hour long 'seventh episode' for online audiences covering the subject of 'internet humor' hosted by Amy Sedaris and starring up and coming comedians

  • Comprehensive resources to help loved ones and friends dealing with depression and suicide
  • Behind the scenes interviews and case studies on the subjects featured in the film

Mysterious Human Heart

  • Full streaming episodes available for free online
  • A timeline detailing the history of cardiology and advances in technology
  • 3D tour of the heart's anatomy
  • A comprehensive healthy heart guide to help teach better eating and exercise habits
  • Emmy credit for excellence in science programming
